Tiny Tumblers
Great program that helps with developing fundamental motor skills and is a lot of fun. Beginners group also helps with learning instructions from teacher and social skills. Many basic tumbling & gymnastic moves are taught. Meets at MPR.

3 on 3 Summer Hoops
Summer is a good time of the year to work on your basketball skills. 3 on 3 basketball is a great way to get everyone involved on the court. Players will be placed onto teams by CRC. No coaches, no practices. Program is designed for extra play, development of skills, exercise & fun. Additional information & schedule will be sent out after registration is complete. Teams will play 1-2 games per week. Meet at CES Gym/MPR.

Bumper bowling
Fun bowling program that will meet at Cheney Lanes. The bumpers will be up so give it a roll. Bowlers will play one game each date. Age determined by June, 1.

Lil' squirts sports
FUNdamental sport program for young children. The program will have a different sport each week: Basketball, Tball, Soccer, & Football. An instructor will lead and work with your little one to help learn the rules and basic skills of that sport. Program meets in the CES MPR. Age determined by June 1.

Swim team
Join the Cheney Youth Swim Team & have fun in the sun. You’ll learn techniques and stroke development, and compete against other kids in the Neptune Swim League. League teams are Pratt, Kingman & Cunningham. Practices are Tuesday & Thursday mornings, once meets begin there will be Wednesday practices. Most swim meets are held Tuesday & Thursday mornings during late June and early July. Parents are asked to help with the Cheney Swim Meet and as needed at other meets. Must be able to swim one full length of the pool.

cheerleading fun young & little ones
Join CHS Cheerleader Erin Heckethorn as she leads this fun beginner’s cheer class. Basic stunting, jumps, cheers, chants, & techniques will be taught and more. Class meets in CES MPR.

Quick Start Tennis
New mini court set up to learn the game of tennis. Kids will learn basic swings and play mini games on small indoor courts. No need for a racquet, CRC has enough equipment for everyone.

Lil' Putter's
New program to teach kids the basics of golf. All equipment provided. All equipment has oversized heads, balls with directional arrows and tee mats for longer shots. Age determined as of August 1.

Hershey track meet
FREE Track Meet for ages 7-14 (age determined as of Dec. 31, 2008). Participants will compete in age divisions *7/8 year olds, 9/10 year olds, 11/12 year olds, 13/14 year olds (Birth Certificates are required). This is a national program where the 1st & 2nd place winners will advance to the state meet at Burlington, June 20 & 21 and possibly to the national meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Participants are not allowed to wear spikes or use starting blocks. Field events offered: Softball Throw & Standing Long Jump. Running events vary by age divisions: 50, 100, 200, 400 M Dashes, 800, 1600 M Run and the 4 x 100 M Relay. Participants may only enter 3 events (2 field events & 1 running event OR 2 running events & 1 field event). This is a fun, low pressure track meet. Participants must fill out the official entry form not a CRC form. For additional rules and information contact the CRC office. Volunteers needed to help with events. *7/8 year olds do not qualify for state/nationals.

tae kwon do
This is a great activity that teaches respect, self confidence, coordination and much more. Black belt Kraig Seglem of Kim’s Academy of Tae Kwon Do instructs classes for all ages. New session begins each month.
